Fattoria di Rodano, Chianti Classico 2019

With the farm dating back to medieval times and vineyard being in the family since the 1700s, Fattoria di Rodano is firmly nestled in the heart of Italy's hilly Castellina region. Known for making incredibly soulful Chianto Classico, the wines are a true reflection of their storied heritage. Chianti Classico 2019 is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo; with the latter subebtly boosting the aromatic profile of the wine. Notes of luscious plum, cinnamon, wild strawberries and sweet cherry are on the nose which moves to a pleasantly savoury palate which is well balanced and lifted by a bright acidity. Elegant and lengthy in the finish, it's a super food-friendly red and one best paired with a Sunday roast.
